EnvisionTEC to reveal affordable new industrial 3D printer with 60 µm resolution at #formnext. BoothE10, Hall 3.1

EnvisionTEC Debuts New Industrial 3D Printer with Almost Double the Resolution

3D printer company to showcase two new technologies for manufacturers at Formnext 2016

DEARBORN, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–EnvisionTEC, a leading global provider of 3D printers and materials, today debuts the Vector Hi-Res 3SP at Formnext, the international exhibit of manufacturing technologies in Frankfurt, Germany.

The Vector Hi-Res 3SP, which will be on display at booth E10 in hall 3.1, has a large build envelope of 300 x 175 x 200 mm (11.8 x 6.9 x 7.9 in.) and offers outstanding resolution of 0.002” or 60 µm in the X and Y planes. That is nearly double the resolution of the original Vector 3SP, a popular model that launched a year ago.

The new 3D printer will be able to process a variety of proprietary materials ideal for manufacturers, including ABS Tough, ABS Hi-Impact, E-Glass and E-Tool, which is designed for short-run injection molding of thermoplastics. The system also includes a standalone PC with a large 56-cm (22-inch) touchscreen monitor.

Additionally, EnvisionTEC’s exclusive strategic partner, Viridis3D, will be demonstrating its Robotic Additive Manufacturing (RAM) for the first time in Europe. The RAM 123 uses a unique binder jetting head attached to a multi-axis, high-precision robot arm from ABB to print affordable and detailed sand molds and cores for the foundry industry.

“EnvisionTEC is a company that provides genuine solutions for manufacturing professionals and the Vector Hi-Res and RAM 123 are the latest examples of our commitment to that mission,” said Chief Operating Officer John Hartner.

Hartner will also be delivering a presentation, “The Next Big Thing: 3D Printing with Composites,” at the Formnext powered by TCT 2016 at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. The session will focus on EnvisionTEC’s groundbreaking technology — called Selective Lamination Composite Object Manufacturing or SLCOM —that additively manufactures woven fiber composites impregnated with thermoplastics. Parts from the SLCOM 1 will also be on display in the EnvisionTEC booth.

With the expanding 3SP line, the RAM 123 and SLCOM, EnvisionTEC continues to offer more 3D printing solutions to traditional manufacturing and industrial customers.

“EnvisionTEC has shown steady growth over the past 15 years because of our dedication to developing solutions to real-world problems,” Chief Executive Officer Al Siblani said. “Our 3D printers and materials are made to matter for the professional manufacturing community.”
