Blocher buys the first Viridis RAM Sand Printer

EnvisionTEC GmbH Announces the Sale of the First Viridis3D RAM System in Germany

GLADBECK, Germany, July 01, 2019 — EnvisionTEC GmbH today announced that it has sold its first Viridis3D RAM System into the European market. The machine has been purchased by Giesserei Blöcher GmbH, a casting company with three generations of experience in the industry.

The Viridis3D RAM system uses exclusive binder jetting technology to print sand molds, mold cores and investment casting patterns for foundry applications. The proprietary systems include easy-to-use Viriprint software that uses a CAD file to print a mold and core in just a few hours.

“Our investment in the EnvisionTEC Viridis3D RAM system will bring benefits, both for the foundry and our customers.” said owner, Jürgen Blöcher at Giesserei Blöcher GmbH. “The Viridis3D RAM will dramatically improve turnaround within the foundry, improving both speed and reduce costs going forward. These are benefits which we will ultimately be able to pass on to our customers. We are looking forward to the installation.”

The Viridis3D RAM marks a move into the European market with Giesserei Blöcher GmbH being the first foundry in Germany to implement the technology.

“Thank you to Jürgen Blöcher for both his and the teams trust in the product. We are looking forward to working closely with Giesserei Blöcher GmbH to maximize the benefits they receive from the use of the Viridis3D RAM system,” said Sobhi Aris, Managing Director of EnvisionTEC GmbH. “These are exciting times for EnvisionTEC and the advancement of the Viridis3D RAM system in Europe. The system is truly ground-breaking, bringing increased speed and reduced costs to foundries. We are confident this is just a first step in the adoption of the technology across Europe and APAC.”
